The best couples help each other grow, and Taylor Swift is helping Travis Kelce expand his culinary interests.
Travis, 35, opened up about being a “picky” eater on his and Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast that aired on Wednesday, October 9. “It’s not even about judging [certain foods]. It’s just like a mental barrier,” he explained.
When asked by Jason, 36, if he liked curry, Travis replied: “Dude, you know I’m starting to open up to lighter cuisine.”
“My Tay girl is helping you expand your knowledge,” Jason replied. “She’s introducing you to new foods, and that’s become one of the best things I’ve ever had fun with.”
Travis admitted that Swift, 34, introduced him to an “Israeli spot in Philadelphia” that he loves to go to. “It’s great. I love it,” he shared. “I’m still picky about what I eat there or what’s on the table. But at the same time, I love dancing.”
The Kansas City Chiefs linebacker joked that his “mental barrier” around food is especially with foods that look like “baby food or baby poop.”
Travis and Swift began dating shortly after he tried to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at an Eras Tour show in Kansas City in July 2023. The pair became official when Swift cheered for the athlete at her first Chiefs game that September.
While Swift has continued to support Travis at his NFL games, including the 2024 Super Bowl and the latest Monday Night Football broadcast earlier this week, he has reciprocated by singing and dancing at several of her international Eras Tour shows during the offseason. He even joined her on stage at London’s Wembley Stadium in June.
Ahead of resuming The Eras Tour later this month, Swift has been in attendance for three of the Chiefs’ five games. Amid talk that Travis is too busy “enjoying life” and not focusing much on football—in addition to attending Eras Tour shows, Travis has taken time off to film multiple film and TV projects—Jason has been supportive.
