Travis Kelce has had a slow start to the season, not scoring a touchdown and averaging less than 40 yards per contest in four games this season.
Even if Jason admits Travis has not been the dominant tight end most expect, he gave some context as possibly the person that knows him best.
‘Now he’s enjoying his life very publicly. Everything he does and everything, really our family does is very much out there,’ Jason Kelce said. ‘And that’s just the nature of the way it is right now.
‘I think the Trav, he’s been very healthy throughout his career. This is a guy who’s always found a way to show up in the peak physical shape. And I know optics are that he is all over the place, and that’s not dishonest of reality, but he still keeps the main thing. Football has always been the most important thing in Trav’s life.’

Travis Kelce has not scored a touchdown in any of his first four games of this NFL season
‘He has always lived his life to the fullest. He has enjoyed his offseasons very much, even before Taylor Swift and everything else going on in our lives. And I think that, you know, he is always going to find a way to make football the No 1 priority in terms of being prepared.’
‘There’s so many things that rely on this, between his relationship with his teammates, Andy Reed, and his legacy. So I know it’s been a slow start for him. Trav is always gonna find a way to show up and show out. I think it’s only a matter of time before it gets back to the Travis Kelce we’ve seen.’
Travis Kelce has continued to improve after three disappointing performances to start the NFL season.
Against the Chargers, he had seven catches for 89 yards. Through three quarters against the Saints, Kelce had nine catches.
Travis did have a uniquely busy offseason, globetrotting to follow Swift during her ‘Eras Tour’ in Singapore, Australia, Amsterdam, and London.
That has led some to claim he did not focus on football enough during the offseason and is facing the consequences now.
