President-elect Donald Trump announced on November 12 that he would appoint Musk and Ramaswamy as co-chairs of an advisory council to propose spending cuts, identify regulations to eliminate, and provide ideas for restructuring federal agencies.
Musk and Ramaswamy have called for major changes to federal programs, including large-scale layoffs and deep budget cuts.
