In late November 2024, several X-list publications claimed that tech billionaire Elon Musk reported that Sean Combs and Jeffrey Epstein’s “client lists” would be revealed, thereby exposing the sexual misconduct of Hollywood elites, when US President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20, 2025.
Music mogul Combs was arrested in September 2024 in New York City on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution. Epstein, who died in jail awaiting trial in 2019, was a billionaire financier and previously convicted sex offender. His real and alleged crimes have fueled rumors, some of which resulted in conspiracy theories, about sex trafficking and pedophile rings in Hollywood and other elite spaces.
The above claims were spread alongside the publication of a satirical article on SpaceXMania titled “Elon Musk to Release Full List of Diddy and Epstein Clients on January 20: ‘It’s Time to Fully Expose Them. ” The article, which was published on November 18, 2024, read:
In a dramatic announcement that has sent shockwaves through social media and political circles alike, tech billionaire Elon Musk has declared that he will reveal the full list of clients linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jeffrey Epstein on January 20, 2025 — the same day Donald Trump is set to be sworn in for his second term as US president. Musk, known for his bombastic claims and cryptic tweets, has framed the move as an effort to “bring transparency and accountability” to the powerful elite.
SpaceXMania describes its post as humorous or satirical in nature. The article is also listed under the website’s “Satire” category. Its “About Us” page reads:

In short, we have no evidence that Musk has inside knowledge of such “client lists,” and Musk himself has never made a post saying he would release Epstein or Combs’ client lists. However, Musk has said in interviews that under a Trump administration, Epstein’s client list would be revealed. On another occasion, he has said that the U.S. Department of Justice would be responsible for releasing such a list. He has not elaborated on when it would be released or how he knows such a thing would happen.
Musk has been increasingly critical of Combs and Epstein and their alleged connections to the Hollywood elite and Democrats. Musk also positioned himself as a prominent Trump ally during the 2024 election. Trump, in turn, tapped him for the newly created position of co-director of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Musk has also called for the release of such lists. In a post on X dated November 23, 2024, he replied “Yes” in response to a meme that read, “People want the Diddy and Epstein files.”
Even before that, in a November 4, 2024 interview, Musk agreed with podcaster Joe Rogan, who stated, “It’s amazing how many people on Diddy’s party list support Kamala.” They discuss Hollywood and Combs’ parties at the 1:25:17 mark:
