On November 4, Judge Angelo Foglietta in the US state of Pennsylvania decided to allow billionaire Elon Musk to continue his program of donating $1 million a day to voters in “battleground” states, despite legal objections from prosecutors in Philadelphia.

imageMusk’s voter giveaway has been controversial since its inception. Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner argued that the program violated Pennsylvania’s consumer protection laws and was an “illegal lottery.” But Judge Angelo Foglietta allowed Musk to continue the program after lawyers for the pro-Trump campaign group America PAC (founded by Musk) argued that the donations were not prizes, but compensation for people chosen to represent Trump’s political group.

The donors were selected from a group of candidates who had appeared in America PAC videos and agreed to let the group use their images, after reviewing their social media profiles and meeting them outside of events, according to America PAC Director Chris Young.

Billionaire Elon Musk is currently one of the strongest supporters of Mr. Trump returning to the White House. The above-mentioned voter giveaway program is being conducted in 7 “battleground” states including Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Voters participating must sign a petition supporting free speech and the right to own guns.
